Clarissa Rudolph-Hastings was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on August 12, 1964. Her parents passed away young.
She writes about healing from grief, sadness, and pain because she knows these topics well, having experienced loss at a young age.
Clarissa was four months pregnant when her mom died tragically in a car accident. Her dad died not too long after her mom. He died of a heart attack. He often said his heart was broken after his beautiful wife died.
Clarissa appreciates the stories her parents shared with her throughout her life, which she remembers from time to time. These stories sustain her through the trials she faces, and they keep her connected to them. When life gets hard, she remembers these stories, memories that help her heal and keep moving forward.
Clarissa loves being a mom and a grandmother. She spends most of her spare time with her family, making good memories, laughing, and loving life. She also enjoys reading, singing, working out and writing. She often says she has the best job in the world because she gets to work with little angels, children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. She is an elementary school counselor. She was also a high school teacher for 16 years and dreams of singing Opera songs, perhaps on YouTube, one day.
